One of my most valued clients at Rockliff Finance recently won a successful bid at auction for a used 1995 Grizzly Westcoaster Plough. However, the deal hit a snag when we discovered that the compliance plate lacked a year model, which is typically crucial for securing asset finance. Without this key information, the deal seemed uncertain.
Determined to find a solution, I reached out to the original supplier in Swan Hill. After some diligent research, I was able to confirm that the plough was built in 1995 and obtained the original documentation from the supplier. Despite the equipment being 30 years old, we pressed forward to secure the financing.
After discussing the deal with several lenders, I found a trusted partner who was willing to evaluate the deal on a case-by-case basis. This flexibility allowed us to proceed despite the age of the equipment.
I submitted the application at 10:30 AM on Friday. By 2:00 PM the same afternoon, I had secured approval. The documents were sent out via DocuSign and, by 5:30 PM, the deal was settled.
Despite a few hurdles—like the missing year model and the age of the equipment—this transaction turned around quickly, with the client successfully receiving their equipment by Saturday morning.
This was a fast-paced and seamless transaction, thanks to the flexibility and responsiveness of both Rockliff Finance and our lending partner. The client, a repeat customer, was thrilled with the quick turnaround and the efficient process.
At Rockliff Finance, we’re committed to getting deals done—fast. Whether it’s a low-doc application up to $350k or more complex financing needs, we’re here to help.
